Who this covers

This policy describes how Raise2Shine (“we”) handles information from directors, school administrators, parents, donors, and student participants in our fundraising campaigns.

FERPA-aware practices

Raise2Shine is a school service provider. We treat any student information shared with us by a school as confidential education-related data under FERPA. We do not sell student information, do not use it to target advertising, and do not retain it beyond the active campaign and a short post-campaign reconciliation window.

What we collect

  • Director and admin contact info you submit through forms.
  • Student first name, grade, and program affiliation (provided by the school).
  • Optional student photo for personal campaign pages, with school approval.
  • Donor name, email, donation amount, and message, as voluntarily submitted.
  • Standard server and analytics logs (IP, browser, pages visited).

How we use it

  • Operate the campaign and personal student pages.
  • Communicate with directors and donors about the campaign.
  • Process donations and product orders.
  • Improve our platform, in aggregate only, never tied to a named student.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell student or donor data.
  • We don't share student data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
  • We don't keep student pages live after a campaign ends without school consent.

Your choices

Parents can request removal of a student's photo or page at any time by emailing privacy@raise2shine.com. Directors can request a full data export or deletion at the end of any campaign.
