Product Fundraising Versus Donation Campaigns

Two different asks, two different outcomes. How to choose for your program.

The ask is different

A donation campaign asks a supporter to give. A product campaign asks a supporter to buy. The second is an easier first conversation for a student, especially a young one.

The economics are different

Donation campaigns keep a larger share per dollar. Product campaigns typically reach more people, because the ask is lighter. [Confirmed program earnings model.]

The learning is different

A product campaign gives students something to explain and something to deliver. Both are useful.
